What Causes Heart Disease?
We all know that heart fails when the heart is unable to pump blood effectively. But, there is an important question has to come to our mind, why does this happen?
The major causes of heart failure, according to cardiologist, are coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, and valvular heart disease. There are many other various risk factors- smoking, high serum cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, family history of heart disease, low HDl cholesterol, and inactivity. But did you know that Stress and even our negative emotions: anger, sadness, fear, anxiety, depression, and loneliness have been shown to actually cause heart disease?
Cholesterol. Although the human body needs cholesterol it is a known fact that we can produce all we need by natural bodily processes. When we eat food high in fat the production of cholesterol accelerates and the body ends up with excess, which is not eliminated. It is stored in the arteries and as outlined above causing blockages in the arteries, thereby resulting in a dangerous predilection to heart disease.
People suffering from diabetes have a higher chance of having heart disease. There is a high level of blood sugar or the blood glucose itself in diabetes patients. Cardiomyopathy is yet another form of heart disease which impairs the heart’s function.
Also scientists at WITS University have discovered that biting your fingernails greatly increases your chances of heart disease. They also have seen likelihood that you life expectance will be dramatically shortened to that of a heavy smoker. The heart problems are caused by Bacterial Endocarditis, which is an infection of the hearts inner lining (endocardium) and / or the heart valves. Bacterial Endocarditis occurs when bacteria enters the blood stream, either though Finger Nail Biting or dental procedures.
Angina has often been described as a heavy feeling or aching, burning, fullness and squeezing. The symptoms often resemble those of heartburn or indigestion. Get emergency treatment if the feeling lasts for more than about 15 minutes. There are other places that the discomfort or pain can be felt including the left shoulder (because your heart is on the left side of your body), arms, neck, throat, jaw or even your back.
We can prevent ourselves from Heart Diseases by choosing to eat better, exercise more, stop smoking, and control our blood pressure. We can also choose to heal our sadness, release our anxiety, and overcome the anger that plagues us. Many resources are available for healing. You can check out a Yoga class, begin to meditate, or consider starting therapy.
